Connecting through Design
Mulberry Chronicles is a fashion label based around my illustrations. The label is inspired by the bold, expressive street style of Harajuku, Japan, drawing influence from the innovative work of Japanese fashion and textile designers who have shaped global fashion trends. As the owner and lead designer, I built the brand from the ground up, cultivating a loyal international following through thoughtful storytelling and strategic design.
From conceptualising collections to illustrating textile patterns, I oversaw every stage of design and production, ensuring each piece reflected both creativity and craftsmanship. Running the business meant managing everything from product development to marketing strategies, crafting engaging digital campaigns that strengthened brand presence.
Mulberry Chronicles found a welcoming audience at Japanese culture conventions across Melbourne, Sydney, Portland, and London, where I had the opportunity to curate immersive pop-up shops that reflected the brand’s vision. As both owner and designer, I embraced the balance between creative expression and strategic decision-making, growing the label into a recognisable name with international reach.
Running Mulberry Chronicles was an incredibly fulfilling experience, one that allowed me to bring creative visions to life while building connections with a passionate community.
